Votex

Much has changed since Mr. P.C. Vogelenzang started his Agency & Commission Selling business on 1 May 1922 in Andelst, The Netherlands. From his farm en Hof  the company sold agricultural seeds, seed-potatoes, seed-onions, fertilizers and agricultural implements. In view of the growing demand for mechanization in fruit farming, the first Votex orchard rotary mower was designed and built in 1952. Interest in this mower was such that it was immediately decided to take the machine into production. The rotary mower proved a great success. Sales were booming, forcing the company eventually to look for larger business accommodations, and, in December 1956, the company celebrated the official opening of its brand-new factory in Andelst. In 1971, the company followed up with the production of the first Roadmaster flail mower. Since that time Votex has accumulated a wealth of experience in mowing technology, and it did not take long for our machines to be regarded as among the very best on the market. With the production of professional flail mowers, Votex managed to rapidly conquer the market in the Netherlands, but abroad as well the quality of our machines is highly appreciated. Currently, some 65% of the manufactured machines find their way to customers abroad. Today, in our new factory in Heteren, an enthusiastic group of 55 employees is working hard to meet the ever growing demand for our products. Our focus is on development of new techniques and machinery.Since June 2003, Votex has been part of Citechma b.v, a division of Kroymans Corporation. Besides Votex, Votex Whirlwind, Votex Bison and Vogelenzang Coating, this group includes the compagnies: Louis Nagel, Stas, Herder, Wynmalen & Haussmann and Van Wijk & Boerma. Cooperation with Herder in particular and the resulting exchange of mutual experience in mowing technology brings an absolute added value for both companies. Since 1 July 2005, KWH Whirlwind with its product line of leaf blowers and leaf vacuum units has become part of Votex. The full line of garden & park maintenance machines is marketed in the Netherlands and internationally under the name of VOTEX WHIRLWIND. The manufacture of fans for a wide range of applications and garden & park maintenance machines has been integrated with the existing Votex organization in Heteren. Votex is market leader in the Netherlands and various other European countries in the area of professional flail mowers for verge maintenance. The Garden & Park activities of KWH, blowing and vacuum equipment combined with vacuum-trailers for leaves and small litter forms an excellent complement to the Votex range of products.
